Florabunda Applique Quilt

Have joined a beautiful project being led by Erin Russek through her blog:  One Piece at a Time.  I love her style and look forward to being guided through her cheerful designs over the next year.  

My planned fabrics are in the Flickr Florabuddies group.  

I'll be using brighter colors than usual and I'm hoping to capture some of the spring-y mood Erin's applique achieves.  Still wavering between muted green and brighter yellowish-green.

Finished the latest Quilts for Kids project

and have pieced the Twin Sisters and sashing part of a baby quilt for Alex's new niece in Germany.  I can't seem to find anything appropriate in my stash for the border(s).

Stash Report: Week 4 2010

I've used half of what I purchased for the year....still in the red but will be out in a couple of weeks at this rate.  This week I made a twin sister block baby quilt top for Alex from half of my new Sleeptime jelly roll.  It is really cute.  Picture online tomorrow    :)

Week 3 - Stash Report 2010

Finally used the gift certificates from Christmas and of course a lot more.  I did get one Quilt for Kids project started and finished this week...so that used up 3.5 yards....plenty to work on next week with all those beautiful yards and fat quarters from the Whistle Stop in Selma and the Wish Upon a Quilt jelly roll (on sale).

Still in the black but not using much....trying out my X-blocks ruler with some stash fabric used up 1.5 yards so far...need to decide on a border for the blocks - they're still on the design wall for Monday :)
